CNC plasma cutters enable the quick cutting of any electrically-conductive material. Victory CNC Plasma Systems can help you identify the best CNC plasma cutter for your needs, based on your job requirements and material thickness. We offer CNC plasma cutters from Hypertherm, the industry’s most trusted manufacturer.
Victory CNC Plasma Systems builds complete turnkey systems with the best plasma cutters for a wide range of industries. All our industrial CNC plasma systems are proudly made in the USA. Our team is here to offer you knowledgeable guidance in choosing the right CNC plasma cutter, and will provide full support and assistance following the purchase. We ship complete industrial CNC plasma systems (with controllers and plasmas installed and tested) and provide installation and onsite training with every delivery.
High-definition plasma cutters give 1-3 degrees of cut bevel, virtually no dross and make oxide-free cuts on mild steel. Standard-definition plasmas give 3-5 degrees of cut bevel, some dross that will need to be cleaned prior to welding. Our standard-def plasmas include the air-cooled Hypertherm Powermax 125 and liquid-cooled Hypertherm MAXPRO200. Our high-def plasmas include the Hypertherm HPRXD and XPR cutters.
We use the term ‘production cut’ to refer to the nicest maximum thickness cut possible. When we say a high-definition plasma cutter has a 1/2” production cut on mild steel, that means you can expect a useable high-definition cut up to a 1/2” on mild steel. Edge starting and maximum pierce refer to cuts that exceed the production cut and have edges that are not as nicely finished as the production cut. These methods are used when severing a larger piece of plate for a secondary process or something similar.
Air-cooled v. Liquid-cooled
Small, portable standard-def plasmas like the Powermax125 cool the consumables via airflow, while standard-def and high-def plasmas with higher cut capacities use liquid cooling, which extends consumable life. Consumables refer to the stacked components at the torch tip, which creates and controls the plasma column. We carry liquid-cooled MAXPRO200s, HPRXDs and XPRs.
